Artist and designer based in New York City working with graphic, print, and interaction design.
This poster series, algorithmically designed with p5.js and risograph printed, promotes the four speakers of the Angles: Cross Perspective in Design conference. The lecture series showcases designers from different parts of the world to show the essentiality of diverse backgrounds in design. The four location based posters highlight designers from Portugal, Japan, Russia, and India.
A critical part of the design for this poster series is the illustration of time in relation to the location of each designer’s city: depicting the time of the lecture in their respective languages, and accompanying this with an abstract depiction of night and day through the contrast of a large, black angular geometry casting nightfall over the saturated sky of each city. The main algorithm used was a randomized curveVertex() function in p5.js, with the coordinate values assigned to a randomized variable that randomly generates a new design each time it runs.
